About

Living in the north-central part of British Columbia, here, the Ranching community runs deep and true. The climate is tough and gritty with hot summers and -30'C winters. Throwing hay, wood and battling barbed-wire fencing is a daily occurrence. The horses are hardy, fast and bred to last. A good dog needs to be a quick thinker and ballsy. The main preadators are wolves, bear, and cougar. Good food is homegrown or hunted. The back-40 is the playground and fun isn't optional.

This is our Canadian north and I'm Bella, a western lifestyle blogger, who lives and breathes it. I became entranced with this way of life years and years ago. Finding myself itching to share our experiences with others.

I have a love of western fashion and in this small town, it's not uncommon to see cowboys with their felted brims and dirty boots, wool vests and trophy buckles. It's home here and that's how it's always felt.

Born the year of the horse, it came without doubt, that I would love these majestic animals. I grew up riding with some of the best coaches in our area, competed and now have my own little herd. Out of the collection are two quarter-horse mares who are my main mounts, and barrel horses.

Farm life can be testing at times, you become invested emotionally and financially - sometimes it doesn't always work out but most times, you feel blessed to get to live this life.

So, thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rugged content with western flare!
